Lake Coalition
The
Geist Lake Coalition
evolved from an entity known as the Geist Harbours Property
Owners Association (GHPOA) Lake Committee. Formed almost
10 years ago, the Lake Committee had been created to
address problems and concerns of GHPOA homeowners concerning
Geist Lake.
As
development around the Lake advanced, it was discovered
that other neighborhoods were facing many of the same questions,
problems and issues that the Lake Committee had tackled.
In order to be more effective at disseminating information
and to give everyone a forum for expressing opinions on
usage of the Lake, the Coalition was formed to include not
just GHPOA neighborhoods, but any neighborhood with waterfront
property.
